Il CoNsole is an association which deals with Sicily, that blessed Island in which art, archaeology and nature satisfy the astonished tourist.

One of the peculiarities of the association is that of having a series of Consuls and/or Ambassadors who explore and take care of the island in order to make it possible for the travellers to admire it.

Some of them belong to the prominent personalities in Sicily: Giuseppe Spina (director of the Etna park; Gaetano Pennino (director of the Uccello museum); the philosopher Gaetano Borruso….

Together with our President, Giovanni Vallone, they promote and watch everyday the wonders of Sicily

Our aim is to protect this heritage.

The association carries out a triple activity: tourism, culinary art and exploration (cultural) activity

*Tourist Section *

Sicily is one of the few regions in the world with an extraordinary archaeological, artistic and naturalistic heritage. Most of all in its hinterland.
And how touching are the sun and the sky.

That’s the reason why since the Grand Tour (1600) millions of people have come to Trinacria: fresh air, sea and a plenty of art.

Giovanni Vallone manages the tourist section. He is the writer on the motorbike of Sicily, as he has been defined by the press, because the versatile Sicilian writer continuously explores the island he loves the most and he reports it in documentaries, books, maps….

You can often meet him on his motorbike, bearing the Sicilian flag with the Trinacria, exploring the most beautiful inland of the world.

Giovanni is the responsible of the tourist section and he is certainly a major reference point of the Sicilian territory as a guide.

We offer you a very particular Sicily giving importance not only to a charming tourism but also strongly characterized by culture.

This is the reason why our society was founded: to study, to explore and to spread the archaeology and naturalistic heritage of Sicily.

*Cooking Section *

As the university spirit is the wit’s nourishment, this is the cooking section, a unique pearl of our association.

The cooking section makes a tour of the world with a staff of food and personnel typically Sicilian.

The chef Silvana Recupero manages this section and she is a real magician of the kitchen.

She creates delicious Sicilian food in her “kingdom” on the Etna’s slope.

Inside our head office some very renowned enogastrononomical courses are organised in order to spread the Sicilian cooking all over the world.

*The Explorative Section*

The third activity of the association, considered as the propulsion of the previous sections, is the mainly cultural, the one which gave birth to our organization.
We often explore Sicily especially in the inland.

Through our Consuls, women and men of the inland who study and protect the island (even from the man himself) and always with the help of the precious guide Giovanni Vallone, we climb mountains, we explore prehistoric caves, we visit ancient Greek-Roman sites, we enter the woods, we climb up rivers, we find medieval hermitages, we conquer castles … among the “pizzi cozzi” (the peaks) or if you prefer the green mountains of Sicily.
An exhaustive study of the territory which is then given to the tourists and also to our cooking section. It’s very useful for the cooking section to have herb, meat and ancient recipes gathered with the help of the grandmothers or directed from the inland of Sicily.
The explorative aim is really demanding: taking pictures, shooting scenes and reporting all archeo-naturalistic emergencies of Sicily, the most beautiful region in the world from an archeo-naturalistic point of view.
